However, I've been trying lately to figure out if it has ghosting or motion blur or if I'm just imagining things and it's just how games look on most or all monitors (it passed the UFO Test's test on their website). Turning Overdrive to "Extreme" in the monitor menu under "Gaming" makes it much worse, but "Off" and "Normal" look the same to me.
I'm also trying to figure out if the HDR is iffy or if it's just how it looks on my current focus Cyberpunk 2077 where it looks pretty washed out when I turn it on in-game. From what I've been reading lately though, it sounds line in general that HDR isn't always everything it's cracked up to be.
I also was concerned about light bleed or something along those lines, but I only notice it when viewing the monitor at an angle and when it's starting up, otherwise I haven't noticed it when in use.
So despite some concerns and especially at this higher refresh rate, this monitor seems like a pretty great buy to me.

shows 250 nits. That's on par with the lowest entry level monitor on the most budget cheapest laptop. HDR will be basically nonexistent on this monitor...

This screen isn't bright enough to do proper HDR even though it technically supports it. I leave it off as it makes things look funny. You have to set it on the monitor and in Windows settings.
Compared to another VA panel I have which maxes out at 100hz, this is a dramatic improvement. I went from a gaming Dell 144hz TN panel to a LG 160hz IPS panel to this one, I feel this has the best picture quality of the three. TN is washed out in general, IPS dark colors look grey or blue compared to this. HDR on a proper IPS panel does however look great.
