It's 68 pages for a reason - it unlocks immediately with a $3-5 unlock token.

All 3 were ported in, 2 from visible and one from boost.....
puzzling.
why would 2 not be activated and 1 was activated.
the process is the same...right ?
was the first one u bought activated and the other 2 bought at a later time not activated?
were the 2 from Visisble not activated and the 1 rom boost acitavted?
makes no sense
The process is the same, but this one is more or less either my fault or boost's or a little bit of both. The two phones did not activate for Visible because they were ordered later and had 7 days for the transfer pin to work, while Boost, you have to call in and have to wait 30min to get a transfer pin which expires in 4 days. There was a delay with UPS for the boost transfer order so I had to activate it on the website before the 4th day was finished. So that's why the esim was already activated in one of the 3 phones.
I think once the carrier confirmed the transfer is valid then it will not expired until the phone number is transfered. So you don't need to rush for activation.
It seems like the key to it is:
(1) NOT activating the device on metro. This seems to be very time sensitive because they auto activate a certain time after seeing the package deliver.
(2) Insert a physical Tmobile Sim card before turning on the device (I'm using a deactivated physical tmobile sim card that has been switched to esim for my other phone), this has booted tmobile's software 3 out of 4 times so far (the 1/4 already had the esim activated).
(3) Make sure data, calling, texting works (I placed an actual Tmobile sim in here to verify).
(4) Go to metro's website, put in your order #, zip code, last name, and then click activate, make sure the phone sees it, apply the esim, and then remove it completely (may not be necessary on the last part, but I did it just in case).
I think the key here is using an inactive T-Mobile sim card so that there is no internet access to load in the eSIM from Metro. However, I noticed that Metro eSIM still loaded into my S25FE even without Wi-Fi and no activation from Metro. The eSIM just sits there in my phone but the phone is not connected to the internet until I hit activation at Metro. I didn't put in any inactive SIM card in there, but I might try that next time to test out the eSIM loading process from Metro, which is what I am doing currently. I think once the eSIM is loaded, whether activated at Metro or not, it will send locking instructions to the phone.

I disabled eSim and put tmobile regular sim but got error as below...Your Phone's not registered on a network, so ou can only mak emergency calls. so NO luck for me to use Tmobile sim on S25 FE
1 day too soon like me. Looks like inserting a deactivated T-Mobile sim card before turning it on and activating it would work.
no luck with deactivated tmobile sim card
no luck with deactivated tmobile sim card
My guess is that the locking mechanism is stored in a protected partition that can't be reversed with a factory reset. Similarly, software updates can no longer be rolled back with a factory reset. I noticed it with iOS first and then with Android.
The way SmileShots did was to activate with an inactive T-Mobile SIM first, verify everything work with an active T-Mobile SIM, then activate online with Metro. I believe this should satisfy Metro requirement and the phone should unlock since it is server-based. Once the IMEI is added to the server, the phone should be given the "green light" to unlock. We will need to wait a year to confirm one way or another. But your post seems very confident.
I tried this but looks like Metro is getting smarter for this hacks...
no luck with deactivated tmobile sim card
Did you try it at the very beginning when you first open the box?
