The only thing finally giving is the leather, which hasn't even gotten any less insanely plush and soft, but it has finally begun to slightly crack, but still not even peeling yet.
Meanwhile the plush leather on the arm wrests of my Razer Blackwidow keyboards started peeling heavily after only 3 years. Same with my Corsair Virtuoso SE and Logitech G935 headphones... I don't know what material Sony is using in their leather manufacturing, but it's next level.

Otherwise the sound quality is good and ANC is good. But I just can't get over the comfort or lack of.
I don't know if it's build quality differences, or Sony has improved it over time.
Super tempting and my WH1000XM3s have held up for 6 and a half years now...but not sure I trust a 90-day warranty on a $300 product.
I'm still rocking my XM2s from 2018. Incredible headphones, my favorite. Build quality is insane. Feel no need to upgrade yet.

I replaced the cushions with Wicked cushions and those have held up great
when the hinges cracked, I replaced those using the different 3D printed ones you can find on amazon/ebay
when the leather headband started to fray and wear out, replaced that from amazon too
Have had them since 2018 and will keep them till they die. Battery still lasts me two days with heavy use too.

What I'm afraid of is buying a pair with a headband that's been worn in beyond my head size.
