Threshold question for these damn vague mobos, not worth our time ever investigating, is how many m.2 slots get nerfed when you add a GPU card into a PCIe slot. The morons never disclose this obvious factor.

This one has 20x5.0 lanes so you should have no issues.

16 lanes for gpu. 4 lanes for m.2 gen 5. Rest is gen 4. Description says 1 m.2 gen 5 and 4 gen 4

Alas, as I wrote: vague and probably handicapped. Wish these specs and claims were regulated since customers fail to demand clarification.

FWIW Gamer's Nexus exposed that Asus is a pretty bad company including terrible customer service, scammy RMA/warranty practices and security vulnerabilities. A recent example video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vy_KWP04pfs

My only experience with Asus was with their XT8 series routers several years ago. Those were great for a couple of years and then the firmware updates would break the mesh along with many other issues and after seeing many others experiencing the same issues dumped them for Ubiquiti. IMHO it felt like Asus went downhill during the pandemic and never really recovered.

Nothing will ever compare to the greatness that was the AC68U. Firmware updates for over 10 years and officially supported by Merlin. It was a sad day when I had to power it down for the last time.

you don't want to spend too much for non upgrade-able sIntel motherboard as you will not see the upcoming CPUs are not fit in LGA 1851 Socket .....

Stay with AM5 or soon to be here AM6 or even AM4 if you really in budget tight shoes.
