I've had one of these for 10+ years. Is it a fancy Japanese/Korean rice maker? No. Does it make rice easier and better than what I can make on the stovetop? Yes. Have I dropped it out of a top cabinet, gotten a huge dent in it, and it still works great? Yes.

There's a Stainless Steel pot version. I would recommend that over the non stick. They tend to start flaking just over a year and even with gentle care.

Anyone using this for chain waxing?

Found it ...too warm
Holds ~200–240 °F after initial overshoot; settles within ±5 °F

That made me chuckle. I don't have a dented rice cooker however I sure do have a dented pan I have been using for over 10 years and still use lol.

Not great size, I've used this for a year now. One uncooked cup yields 2 cooked cups. Doesn't do well when it's overfilled.
As soon as it's done, unplug it to prevent sticking. I put a few drops of olive oil and it helps to prevent the rice from sticking.

If you already have a steel pot of same size. you could use it. Taller pot is better as it helps to prevent boiling rice from spilling down.

encouraging laziness. How difficult is it to search for aroma rice cooker stainless inner pot?

I purchased this in February 2023 for $38.89 after researching on the best, well-priced rice cookers. I've been pretty happy with it. Three full cups of jasmine rice fill the pot when cooked. The pot is very easy to clean. I wipe the cover with paper towel after each use.

I was going to get this but someone told me if you have an instant pot you can make great rice with all types of rice and you can make a lot of it. I found it works great, perfect rice every time.

sometimes its a specific one they are mentioning and having a link makes it easier to know which one they were talking about. I know I've done that in the past. tell someone to look it up only for then to be confused because it was hard to find. providing a link just makes it better. People are already taking the time to post a comment what is an extra 30 seconds to grab and post the link.

I have this exact cooker. It works fine as a rice cooker. The downside is that hinged lid, which is a combination of a cap (with the handle) and a metal plate that sits on the pot. It's usually covered in starch if you make the cooker's max capacity of rice, which is a pain to clean off. Don't even think of making oatmeal in this one. (Making oatmeal in a rice cooker is a personal life hack.)

I just switched back to one with a regular lid that can go in the dishwasher.

Do you have an Instant Pot?

If so, 1:1 ratio. 6 minutes low pressure.

Save yourself the kitchen space.
