To those asking what this tastes like--if you've ever had a bran muffin this is similar (albeit less mealy). It has a sweet molasses taste, not really savory. Good with butter but I would not use it for a sandwich. I like it but not enough that I would buy 12 cans.

I grew up having this occasionally (parents from New England), and I've had an odd craving for this for YEARS now. Nobody carries it locally anymore. Guess I'm getting a whole case of it. /yum

I have never heard of this before!
Is it slightly sweet?
Would like to try it if it was one can... but can't buy a case not tasting it first.

I love this but it isn't sold locally. I haven't bought it in awhile since the price had gone up. Definitely in for a case.

I remember this product was on here a year or two ago and there was a huge thread talking about it.
A lot of people really like it.
I'm curious and would like to try just one can.
I don't want to order 12 of anything without first knowing if I like it or not.

My experience on this when ordering from Amazon is that it's 9-12 months till expiration since it's overstock. It's good but an acquired taste. I wouldn't get a case to try first. But for 20 bucks with s&s im in for one. I can polish it off in 6 months.

I am both incredibly intrigued and slightly revolted by canned bread, but I see no justification for not trying it.

Too curious, in for one. $20.20 w/max S&S, $1.68 per can. Not bad for 16 oz of end of the world food.

When the apocalypse comes, this will be such an amazing find. Until then, I think I'm good.

Not sliced. It is a cylindrical "loaf" kinda like cranberry sauce from a can.
