Curious how it compares to these which are only $1 more for 40 instead of 24 tablets:

First time I've seen coffee maker cleaner tablets...been using a 50/50 mixture of vinegar according to my coffee maker manual from time to time.

Anyone know if this works any better? I don't have hard water in my area and water quality is generally good.

If you have hard water, the mineral deposits will build up and clog stuff over time, or break off into your coffee; I use a vinegar mix every couple of months to keep the buildup managed and hand clean the deposits as needed. If you're not in a hard water area, or have whole home filtration, you may never need to clean yours. Do your faucets and shower heads have white scale on them? If not, skip this.

I used these kinds of cleaners and i don't find them clean any better than the normal vinegar solution

Vinegar works as other suggested. You can also just buy a large bag of citric acid powder and that's far more economical than tablets. You can also use that for other cleaning, like a gunky dishwasher.

Citric acid is also an effective natural deterrent and killer of ants. It works by disrupting their ability to follow pheromone trails and can also weaken their exoskeletons, leading to dehydration and death.

That's basically what this is just with more steps.

I have hard water and even w filtering and softening, if we don't descale monthly, the KCup machines clog and you get minimal coffee in time. I am curious about the tabs tho. I keep vinegar and works great.

Same on tabs. We do a monthly descale and keeps it working well, otherwise the KCup machine lasts maybe 18 months and you get 50-75% fills of a cup. Wanna piss me off, short my coffee in the AM.

A regular coffee pot machine needs service but nothing like a KCup that clogs and dies if you don't descale it. If you're paying for. Kuerig machine and not descaling your blowing a bunch of cash. They really are proud of their brand and prices for them show.

I bought these in hopes they would clean my lavazza coffee pod machine. They include a kind note in the box, thanking us for supporting their small company. You plop one or two in your water reservoir. It fizzles like alka-seltzer and you feel good. You run the elixir through your machine, and it doesn't really do anything to clean the machine. Vinegar works better.
