if this is a DC powered fan it be worth it but if it's AC powered then it's probably not worth it because DC fans are so much more efficient in the long run and cost a lot less to operate

It is DC, reviews however say that the lowest speed setting is way too fast and cold. Also the blades are not high quality.
Would be safe to assume a lot of the reviews probably received discounts or free products for the 5 stars

Great price, but beware that this does not accept a standard light bulb. Even more worrying, the included manual does not seem to even include any information on a model number for a replacement light.

A lot of cheap fans have sadly been switching to this design as of late. In some cases, you may be able to find a similar, compatible unit with a fair bit of research and fingers crossed. I've seen bulb replacements for those in the $20+ range, but if it goes out.. it's very possible that you'll be replacing a fan.

Beware: that this unit does not accept a standard light bulb. Even more worrying, the digital manual did not seem to even include any information on a model number for a replacement light.

Beware: these proprietary round light-board panels are the catch with a lot of these new, cheap fans. The fan itself might be cheap, but only God knows how long their $20+ replacements last (if you can find one, I will get to that).

A lot of cheap fans have sadly been switching to this design as of late. You can still find plenty of fans that accept standard bulbs, but they usually seem to cost about one $20+ replacement bulb more. In some cases, you may be able to find a similar, compatible unit with a fair bit of research and fingers crossed. Most I've seen are in the $20+ range, so I've just been avoiding them completely. But if does go out and you can't find a replacement model.. it's very possible that you'll be replacing a fan.

It appears that their official site does offer some "round light-board panels," which I'd assume are compatible with some of their units. Unfortunately, they do not provide enough information in the product description or linked manual so I could not confirm compatibility with any replacements that they offer. Regardless, a couple of the "round light-board panels" cost about as much as the fan itself.. and who knows how many hours such panels are rated for. At the end of the day, companies out there know that it's not necessarily convenient to install these units, especially with high ceilings and they also know how much they can sell proprietary panels for.

..and even you are lucky and the manufacturer stocks these light-board panels, who knows how long they'll sell them for. So you can either stock up on some $20+ replacement panels now that last an unknown number of months/years, roll the dice on them still having them in the middle of the hottest week in summer when you're working OT, or be totally OK installing another fan. And from my experience, it's never very fun to install a fan. And if you plan to get 10-20 years out of it.. by the time you buy a couple possibly non-standard proprietary replacement parts.. it'll probably have been just as expensive to spend an extra $30-40 on a fan that accepts normal bulbs.

Further: I definitely know the safety rating of a standard light bulb, but I don't quite know the safety of using a possibly compatible unit or to what specs "round light-board panels" are manufactured. I have not seen any indication from the reviews on this unit, however with non-standard replacement parts it's always a concern.

This brand name always cracks me up whenever it pops up here (which seems fairly often).

I got 5 of these ceiling fans and I absolutely love them. Their designs are slick and I liked their app and remote control feature. They also operate both forward (summer) and backward direction (winter). It comes with a few drawbacks though where the fan speed and the lights can ONLY BE regulated via remote or app. It doesn't come with any regulator switch. Also, it cannot be operated via Google Home / Alexa / Siri. I can live with the trade offs and would love to purchase them again.
