This is a beginner racquet (light frame, large head size, head heavy).
If you intend to play a few times a year, it's good, but if you are really serious about tennis, I'd say you are better with a used frame from a local club.

thanks for taking the time and appreciate the comments. what is good for teens that are semi-serious? heard the light frame ones werent as good in the long run?

If teen is a beginner, then this is ok for the first year.
If he/she really likes tennis and is HS student then I would try to point them to a frame 100-105 head size, 10-11oz weight, balanced or head light. Best bet would be to demo a few sticks from tennis warehouse or express or local club and find out what they really like.
