Like 90% of the reviews of this brand are vine/influenster/paid reviews. According to some of the reviews, it's not very accurate, weight fluctuating by 5lbs and body fat by 10%.

Seems like a reasonable price for what it is, but I wouldn't call it a deal. My cheapo no-frills Taylor scale from the 90s is more accurate than this thing.

Yup. Nearly all of these in-home scales are inaccurate. There is a reason these are $8. Waste of money in my opinion.

I've been lugging this thing around for 15 years and wouldn't recommend it—sure, it's tough as nails, but it clocks me 1 pound heavier than my other three scales (which all agree within 0.2 pounds). Plus, since I use powder at times it gets under the glass making it hard to clean. Worst of all, it's a total dinosaur—no smart features to auto-sync with Apple Health or Google Fit.

Any other recommendations at this price point for a better scale or is the best?

idk about this. I got a cheap bathroom scale from wyze and it's super accurate. it never fluctuate at all with weight or bf%. and it's accurate when I weight gym weights on it. barefoot required, as well as hard floor. but otherwise 0 fluctuation. even moving tiles you get the same result
