The S2725QC replaces the DisplayPort input for a usbc input but is slightly more expensive

I have the USB-C version and I have to say this is the worst monitor I've ever used from a software perspective. When I use it above 60hz the screen goes black and comes back on frequently. When connected to my Dell dock with a good HDMI cable it's limited to 30hz no matter what I do. I hope Dell releases a firmware update one day because the quirks drive me crazy

It could be particular to my setup. I think it really doesn't get along with Nvidia drivers for some reason. And the 30hz when using a Dell dock is annoying too considering other brands like Samsung, LG, and other Dells can do 60hz on it without problem.

I personally have other monitors, but got this monitor for a family member. The 4k120hz works as well as you would expect for a non-OLED or mini-LED - very smooth but the colors aren't the same level as better options. That being said, I was WOW'ed by the speakers on this! For simple audio and especially meetings, they were outstanding. Would buy again!

If you go above 100hz its very difficult to go back to 60hz. If you can spring for it its worth the improvement, but what you don't know won't hurt you. I think if you're okay with 60hz its fine to stick with it for a while, but would strongly recommend against it for your next upgrade.

Just set the new one at 60hz as well if it bugs you. Otherwise I don't see the problem.

I have the USB-C version you are talking about and it all depends on the data capabilities of your cable and what your system can handle. Have tried it with all sorts of devices and cables to say that the monitor works as intended if you have the right things in place. 120 hz 4k works flawless when I connect to my PC with a good graphic card and high speed HDMI 2.1 cable, struggles with my work laptop because it's just not capable of outputting through its inbuilt graphics..

My laptop is 60hz and I noticed the difference the first day with this monitor. In fact, sometimes I have to use my laptop simultaneously with the monitor and when I do, by the end of the day I get eye fatigue from the laptop. My previous monitor was 60hz and that never used to happen. Could it be something else like contrast or brightness, etc. ~shrugs~ Possibly? But I notice a difference between the two and my eyes prefer the 120hz.
