Looks like this is an LTSC version of Office (meant for commercial/government use), so likely not legit. Doesn't mean it won't work but you'll have trouble downloading/activating this thru normal ways. You'll have use this website's download links and instructions to install the software, which honestly makes me uncomfortable.

I have already requested a refund. The entire activation process described in the order confirmation appears to be cracking the software, which is 1000% illegal.

Check out those 3-4 star reviews. Some reported it requires re-activation after system updates. It's definitely using a system glitch to activate Office 2024 on Mac.

Report back if you run into any issues. Did you have to enter your credit card in their form or do they have PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc. Never mind. I see Apple Pay is an option.

Did you install it using their custom software / activation process in their instructions or were you able to redeem the key and download the software directly from Microsoft?

not sure where these sellers get their keys. probably NGO, EDU skus. these are LTSC volume license keys. they say it's good for 1 device. but you can activate as many machines as possible until Microsoft kills it on the server side.

I manage an NGO, and Microsoft recently changed their nonprofit program into a nonprofit grant, which only provides free access to the basic Microsoft 365 package—without the desktop apps. I also work for a university, and since 2022, they no longer provide volume license keys. When I needed to use MS Access for a project, the IT staff gave me a bulk key installation tool, but new installations could no longer be activated. In the end, I had to request $179 to purchase an individual license.
