personally I think the real value if you're a pixel fan is with a refurbished pixel 8 or Pixel 8 pro. a renewed pixel 8 on Amazon is between 200 and 250 and you can find the pixel 8 pro for under 350 sometimes renewed. it won't have 100% battery but you'll get the telephoto camera if you get the pro model. get 5 years of updates. and the money you're saving if you get the regular pixel 8, you could easily just get a new battery. frankly I prefer the ergonomics on the pixel 8 which is a little more rounded. the flat edges sell better because of the association with premium iPhones but they're pretty unpleasant to hold relative to the more soft ergonomic back curve that the pixel 6, 7 and 8 all had.

They will probably drop for the obvious reason that the Pixel 10 is out, but I went from the Pixel 9 Pro XL to Pixel 10 Pro (I wanted something smaller) and I can honestly say that there is is virtually no difference. Except the lack of physical SIM card slot, which was/is my biggest concern with trading "up" to the P10. If the math worked out in my favor, I'd have no problem trading down from P10P to P9P simply to keep the physical SIM slot.

Yes, $249 for existing customer with 90 days of active service in June. The phone unlocked this morning (I activated it on 7/3. My 3rd month of service started 9/3 (charged on 9/1). so it's suppose to unlock after 10/1.

Yes, it changed to 60 days for this deal. But like to OP said, cheapest custom US Mobile plan is about $4.50/mo. So add another $9 to the $339 price with unlock in 60 days.
