Seems to be a good watch for a Samsung trade-in where they say "any smart watch".

Seems like E-trash.

Not fully waterproof (only ip68), no GPS, they don't even list out the sport modes lol.

Sure it's only $10 but it's not going to be anything worthwhile.

So I bought a clone watch and have the original of the clone. They both perform the same with most apps and look the same. Now the clone was not waterproof and could not text back but would receive text.

There are also Reddit threads about it.
Thanks for the post but:

1. Can you post ONE such Reddit thread about it?
Sorry, my mistake. Reddit threads were about Galaxy Watch 5, not Kumi. I deleted that sentence from OP.

I have not. The app offers under "Wallet" to store QQ, WeChat, Alipay and PayPal. I have no interest in any of these.

3. Can it support making calls from Google Voice running on the phone or does the call feature make calls using the phone's native SIM card?
If it can, I do not know how to get that done. I used the Phone applet on the watch, and that used the phone's native SIM card.

I added a stock photo of the back from Kumi's site.

Thanks for the answers OP. I really appreciate you taking your time to post this and following up on my questions.

5. Can you pair a BT earbud to this watch so you don't have to speak into it when at a noisy place?
6. When these reviews say you can "play music" using the smartwatch, what do they mean? Are they using it to play audio from the phone on the speaker in the smartwatch or controlling media on the phone or actually playing media on the smartwatch and listening to it via a BT earbud?
7. I don't think so, but could you see if there's a slot for an SD Card?

Here are some reviews I found:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkoKfyxaB00
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6A7mm_crCY
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVdaNHkzK0A
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sn0pjfdCNc0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5x0xoKIAEsU

Also, are there similar (in features) smartwatches, maybe a bit pricey but not in the $100 range that have better charging options or replaceable battery?

I don't think you can pair earbuds to the watch. And why would you? The call is going through the phone anyway. Just pair the buds the the phone. The watch is a UI surface, and has a speaker and microphone for marginal use. Anyway there is no control to put the watch into Bluetooth pairing.

The "music" functionality is, again, just the UI. Play/pause/volume control. The sound is output from the phone (and I presume any Bluetooth accessory paired thereto).

There is no slot, for SD or SIM card.

has anyone tested the HR monitor to see if it actually works? I remember i bought a cheap smartwatch before and tested the HR monitor when it was off my wrist and just sitting on the table and it still would give me a random HR number like 68BPM or somewhere in that range lol

Just find an eBay refurbished, older model from one of the big brands. Don't waste your money on this.

you realize watches like the google pixel watch 2 are also only ip68? Yes, the PW2 (besides now being 2 generations old) is better in many other ways, but IP68 only seems to be not as much of a con as you make it out to be.

The OP has been very kind and generous in answering my questions so I just ordered one. Should typically be here in 2 weeks and I will update the post.

For half the price of a burrito from an unlicensed street vendor, if it does half of what it claims to do, it would be worth it!

My 12-year old is looking for a watch that will count stops and tell the time. Something I wouldn't have to connect to a smart phone. Is this a decent option? If not, does anyone have any recommendations? I'd like to keep it under $20. Most I'm seeing require an app, which won't work for us.

TIA
