Higher brightness modes on even brand name ones like sofirn get pretty hot after using them for 5 or 10 min... I only use highest settings for short periods. I use a lower setting for most uses.

I like these a lot. I ordered a pair and just got them today.

You can change the brightness. I'll never understand why they start at the highest brightness (blinding and higher power consumption) and then go lower? I think they should start lower and go higher...
