think this would be safe to add a little bit to dog food? my 10 year old boxer has some kidney issues, special diet food.

Try the regular chicken one it only has 150 mg of sodium as compared to others with 400 ~ 500 mg

This sounds good but most bone broths have a very metallic taste to me. I can't really describe it but it's off-putting. Don't know if it's even worth trying.

No, Garlic and onion are toxic to dogs. Sodium is bad for dogs.
