I have this bike and am ordering two more. Super easy to assemble, well built, comes with everything you need besides a side view mirror. I have been ridding it to work daily. The pedal assist kicked in way too strong so I disconnected the PA cable and just use the throttle. I am 6'2" 200lbs and this things tops out at 26 MPH with me on it full throttle. The previous thread on this bike has so many people complaining about Ali express or other e-bikes so it's hard to read. If you are looking for a basic e-bike for an amazing price just buy this. If you don't like it you can probably sell it for $500 or more on Nextdoor after the 30 minutes it takes to assemble it.

This bike has an unbranded 500 watt motor with a 750 watt (16 amp x 48v) controller. With a fully charged battery it will put out 900 watts for a couple of minutes before the voltage drop giving them reason to call it a 1000w peak. Now saying that, this is a steal! I got a 20 ah battery and a battery equalizer and installed it in a bag on the rack, and have effectively countered the only weak spot in the bike...which is the silverfish battery...which does probably do 13 ah....but the voltage drop makes mine put out closer to 700 watts for more than 1/2 of the battery. I plan on changing the front fork to an air fork, and putting a 135mm/750 watt front motor with a dual 750 watt motor controller. Although total (20 ah battery, motor, fork, controller, and balancer) is 450 bucks...which is more than the bike, it will be an awesome 2000 watt peak (1500 rated) scooter with enuff torque to hall my big butt around for less than 800!
I also mentioned in the other thread that the controller and all the power and wiring is in an unsealed outlet box under the bike with two huge holes cut on the sides for the wires to get frayed on. Also, one big puddle could fill this box with water. I ordered rubber grommets for 5 bucks, and will install with a little silicone when they come in to seal them. I just wanted all of you to be aware since most of you won't realize rhis.
I feel this bike is the modern day equivalent of the classic red scooter. The pedals work for shorter people, but it's so heavy, it's really not realistic to equate it as a 'moutain bike'. I think it's meant for urban uses such as the guy on YouTube doing doordash.

I ordered my bike on 9-9-25, received 9-13-25. Package arrived in Austin, Texas in perfect condition (Fed-Ex), no blemishes. Bike was packed almost bomb-proof; very well padded.
All parts were included and arrived as described on the product page. The front and rear brake were calibrated correctly on arrival. The rear derailleur was also per-calibrated out of the box. Assembly involves mounting the handlebars, mounting the rear rack, attaching the front wheel, attaching front and rear lights, and affixing the pedals. The bike comes with all the tools required for assembly. Assembly took roughly 30-40 minutes on my front porch. The shifter and derailleur are branded Shimano parts.
The bike is quick! I weigh 200lbs (91kg) and the bike gets up to speed within 2-4 seconds on pedal assist setting 3. With a 200lb rider the bike seems to max out at 22 miles per hour on flat ground. The bike shifts easily through it's 7 pedal gears. At maximum speed you will not be able to add power to the bike with the pedals, you will be spinning the pedals or 'ghost pedaling' on pedal assist setting 3; even in the highest gear. This is true of basically all e-bikes that reach this speed.
I am 5'10" (178cm) and the bike fits me, but I feel I am toward the maximum height to ride comfortably. Exercise caution if you are > 6' tall.
I have not tested the range or charging speed yet.
The brakes work, but they are mechanical brakes. Exercise caution on a bike this heavy with mechanical brakes, because they do not stop the bike immediately. They slow down the bike and bring it to a gradual stop over a short distance.
If you order this bike you should immediately take action to weatherproof the controller. The controller is in a compartment beneath the battery. The wires that come out of this compartment are run through completely unsealed holes. These holes expose the very sensitive electronic controller to potential atmospheric dust and water. The compartment is also placed in a way that is likely to cause the rear wheel to splash puddle water into the wire hole. This repair should done IMMEDIATELY after you construct the bike. Leaving this hole unsealed will destroy your bike eventually.
Personally, I am in love with this quick little bike. It is an great value for the price. The quality of the frame and the overall care that was obviously put into it's production and shipping genuinely surprised me. I don't understand how they can sell such a well constructed bike, with a 13AH battery, and a powerful 750W motor for the price I paid. I guess economies of scale really produce wonders.

That's the review I would have left on ali-express if they allowed more than 1000 characters. I will have to whittle it down. Just wanted to share my experience with other slick-deals users. I am not affiliated with slick-deals or ali-express or urlife in any way. I hope this is helpful to anyone considering this deal.

The kickbacks are just too good. Thats why the site runners keep shamelessly pushing high ticket items like this
But also... show me another way to get a new ebike for $320 besides these Ali deals posted here on SD. The ones for these ebikes are not publicly posted. Ali is looking to run a promotion with a US based company to help promote/sell. And SD is owned by Goldman Sach's private equity company. Do you think they weren't going to try to monetize? Accept the bias and read thru the noise on this site, this is the only way.
Had no idea 💡 thx

Can someone recommend one of the Aliexpress bikes that has room to carry a second (smaller) passenger? I'm not going to be doing "heavy" riding, mostly just going around my neighborhood. I prefer something with hydraulic breaks (I know it will be more $), but not mandatory. I'm willing to spend more than the one in this OP.

I mention Ali, as it seems I'd get the best bang for my buck there.

I'm assuming that rack thing over the back tire is for cargo and not a person (which is why I'm hesitant to get the one in this OP). There are so many ebikes on AE and it all just confuses me lol.

I really don't know much about ebikes and apologize for my noobness.

Tia for anyone that can help.

Fyi - any ebike with more than 750W of motors is a class4 e-bike. This is an electric off-road moped.

Class 4 are forbidden on roads, sidewalks, multi-use trails and only to be used on unpaved off-road trails. Some states require a license and registration to use class4 bikes on the road.

This is one of those things that I assume is basically unenforceable unless you do something stupid and then they tack on a fine/charge for unlicensed overpowered bike

How are the components? (axles, brakes, bottom bracket)
Battery holding up well? Have you had to warranty anything?

I purchased this ebike last month and general speaking, it is a wonderful ebike considering the quality and cost. I have one concern about the brake which is weak and cannot stop immediately. anyone has any idea to improve the brake function?

I'm replying to you because you seem to know quite a bit, but this question is for anyone: Is there a *reliable* fireproof bag or box setup that I can encapsulate the bike (or the battery)? They do sell bags on Amazon, but I understand they're pretty useless... they just give you a few seconds to toss it out the back door if it explodes and goes up in flames, which apparently does happen even when not under extremes of temperature or moisture or other odd circumstances. I have seen videos and pictures on the E scooter and E bike subReddits. I did poke around and I haven't found anything. I can't really park an ebike (or the Ladped LP80 e-scooter that I just got from AliExpress via SD) outside all year around, so I would love to have some kind of big box that is fireproof -- probably a lost cause, but just in case anyone knows… Please chime in.

I'm no expert but I ride this bike to work and charge at my desk. If I need to charge at home my plan is to charge it inside my Webber BBQ in the back yard as I already have power there for the attached BBQ light.

I just put my batteries in an empty (metal) truck toolbox on my cement garage floor. I never really looked for anything else.
After looking around online....charging on a nonfunctional grill seems the most sensible and popular. Fireproof, good airflow, looks normal.

Park your ebike wherever, Storing your battery is safe inside. It's the 4 to 5 hour charging that people freak about. I don't leave mine charging unattended anyway.

The same coupon works for this bike at this moment in time.... ( RDT80B ) it doesn't have hydraulic brakes, but is probably the best deal around for a two-seater. 457 bucks.

Thanks. I appreciate you finding that.

The reason I am looking for something with hydraulic brakes is (aside from stopping quicker) because I have a strength issue in one of my hands. From my limited research, I thought I read hydraulic brakes are easier to "squeeze" with the hand.
