Ideally you want minimal contact with the saddle by depending on your sit bones to support you. The more your butt touches the saddle, more rubbing (friction) will happen, causing chafing. So while it may feel OK at first, longer rides will cause discomfort so consider that when shopping a saddle. And it usually takes several weeks to get your butt used to a regular cycling routine.

What mixmode said. Soft saddles like this will end up causing compression to your sensitive bits and is actually less comfortable. This saddle is for short rides under an hour. If you are getting into serious cycling, you will want a firm saddle where your weight is on your sit bones.
