unfortunately i can't say i trust buying anything from creality refurbs..... i bought something from them and it was a mess, missing cable, damage on the bed and printer head etc etc. it said it was refurbished but i doubt it, i have heard some have had good luck to be fair and maybe this one just slipped through by accident...........supposedly they are going to send a return shipping label, which if they don't i'll do the paypal dispute thing....

Avoid this printer new, refurbished, used, or free.

It is junk. It will come damaged. It is like a 100lb printer and they decided to use dinky m4 screws to hold the feet on. They sheer off during shipment and you will be stuck doing a bolt extraction first day of ownership.

Your next problem with be the huge, heavy, glass door they decided to GLUE onto the hinges. If it didn't come detached it will do so soon.

The gigantic bed will be warped worse than a taco.

It can't print TPU without modification.

And finally if you get past all that your extruder will grenade itself because Creality designed it with the Bowden tube clip built into it rather than outside and replaceable. If you buy the CFS (more problems) your extruder will destroy itself after a couple hundred color swaps. This is due to the tiny metal teeth inside the tube holder that break off and fall inside the gearing. Creality knows about the issue, doesn't care, and recently issued a new extruder model that is exactly the same design, failing to address it.

On paper this printer blows everything out of the water. In reality you will most likely get a lemon and be stuck trying to contact Creality for replacement parts.

Stay away

Yeah, I am one of those that have had good luck with them. Got a refurb Ender 3 v3 KE that worked fine but the hot end fan was noisy. Sent support a video of it and they sent me a new fan. Then I bought a Ender 3 V3 Plus and it looks great except one of the two hot end wires had a nick in it and you could see the bare wire. Again sent them a photo of it and they sent me a new hot end. Both printers have worked well and support, although slow, took care of the issues both times.

With that said I also recently bought a Bambu X1C and don't think I'll be going back to Creality. The v3 Plus is still my go to for large prints but for everything smaller the X1C just is simpler to use.

I hope you got the X1C for the new reduced price. The old price was just far too expensive.

Mine (new) arrived in perfect condition. Haven't had any of the failures you've mentioned. Bed is 0.56mm warped, and their bed mesh algorithm sucks. I would 100% buy it at this price if I'm not afraid of a little tinkering.

No, I got it during their anniversary sale. Would be cheaper now but with all the add ons, free "gifts", and filament I bought at the same time it worked out ok.

Yeah I mean anyone doesn't believe me just check the k2 subreddit. There are almost zero threads showing off nice prints. It is mostly threads highlighting the printers many problems. You'll find multiple "worst printer I ever had" threads.

I expect Creality to botch their printer launches. They always do. But the amount they borked the K2 launch has been truly egregious and it is clear they refuse to address the many design flaws inherent. That to me is unforgivable. For example they have known about the extruder design problem for more than 6 months now. For your flagship printer that is crazy. Creality has already moved on and will be releasing a tool changing printer like everyone else within a year.

Buying this refurb you are guaranteeing you get one of those early return units. It will be plagued with issues

I bought a refurb from the recent sale that included a CFS and returned it. It obviously had not been refurbished at all. Dirty, damaged, unacceptable.

I have another K2 plus that I bought new from Amazon and it has been an absolute Rockstar. Great printing out of the box and no issues since.

Yeah getting a printer like this from Amazon is the way to go. You can return a lemon easy, no problems. If you buy from ebay/creality they will put you through the ringer before giving you a return label sometimes.
