The 5080 desktop is about 20-25% better than 5090mobile.
The difference between 5080mobile and 5090mobile is about 10%.
The reason is available power draw.
This laptop still is good. The processor is in the top 5, the ram is good, the screen is great. But I personally would get a similar spec laptop with a 5080mobile and save 30% of my money to lose maybe 10% of performance.

Excellent laptop
I also got the 5080 in the same spec. I exchanged it for the 5090, best decision and no regret.
Now is $200 off, I will be claiming for price adjustment which MC will honor if it's within 30 days.

For gaming? Lol it doesn't. But that isn't any different than any other dGPU laptop. Physics won't let them game for long. If you are worried specifically about gaming battery the best you can do is a Halo Strix AMD with a iGPU similar to a 4070 on performance.
Not gaming? IDk about as long as any other 275HX I imagine. Reviews would tell you more
Lenovo is incredibly strict with their price match policy. And no Microcenter products are not "damaged or lower quality." I can confirm they are factory new with no damage, I've bought two Lenovo laptops from MC before. That is an absolutely asinine statement.
I'm guessing Tustin will restock soon. Price dropped while they were already sold out.
