Incredible value. Couple of things most prob won't care about....
1. It's got dual nvme slots, but no RAID. 1 of the nvme slots is Gen 5 though, comes with dual gen 4 drives.
2. No thunderbolt 5.

Did you mean "I got the 5080 last week for 2350"? I think you did. You definitely dont want a 2080 gpu for more than $500 lol. If you did mean 5080, its really going to come down to a need vs. budget question. The 5090 will perform better but the 5080 is still going to do amazing and is the extra $600 (to you) worth the increase in performance and possible warmer/louder laptop scenario (5090 in a laptop is a beast)

Do you guys think a laptop with specs like these will be offered at a lower price point during Thanksgiving and Christmas sale events?

You are only likely to see it $100 off if that. B&H did go under microcenter by $100 at black friday last generation for the 4080 model but not the 4090. Up to you if waiting 2 - 3 months is worth $100.

Uncertain.

Over the last several years, I've seen more good deals on electronics around September than during Black Friday for whatever reason. You might find a similar deal around Thanksgiving/Christmas, but probably not much better, if at all. You can check last year's deals for laptops with the 4090 and see that Nov/Dec only matched the prices seen in Sep/Oct.

If you're fine with refurbs, however, there tends to be great deals on those around Christmas and New Year's.

possibly but likely from a second tier company like MSI or ACER rather than ASUS or Lenovo.
