Price history for the last 3 months shows this has traditionally been around $31. It's still an ok price if someone needs an inverter, but just note that this seems like a normal price.

The title and first few lines should say what tool battery this uses in this case dewalt
Dewalt had me sold. I even ordered the yellow verion to match team yellow. Next to order Dewalt stickers off Etsy to cover the Azocek branding. Good day !!!

I came across two pack generic M18 8.0 ah batteries on Amazon for $40 lol - they have been working flawlessly. If anyone doesn't mind chiming in, would those potentially be okay to use with this inverter?
Damn - the red threw me off lolReading is fundamental - DeWalt got it ...
The item page for red says Milwaukee but yellow says dewalt - I guess option for each

last I remember, Milwaukee M18 batteries are supposed to have an internal BMS that prevents it from going below a certain voltage. no intervention is supposed to be necessary.
no, none of them do, it's in the tool

Amazon reviews seem pretty solid. No complaints of failure there. My biggest concern would be bricking a battery with this, but I think it's worth a try. I'll be careful not to let the battery run all the way to empty.

This is correct. Milwaukee builds the protection into the batteries themselves so no concerns about using them like this. Dewalt on the other hand, puts the BMS in the tools, so you have to be careful with their batteries.
my research says M18 batteries do have BMS built in, but it's only used as a notification to the tool and the tool is what actually stops drawing power...

i'd do your own research and make your own decision, don't rely on randos on SD or any forum.

Follow up from my previous reply... I used a 6AH Dewalt battery on a similar device last night to power my CPAP. I turned it on at 8:30PM, and it died at 1AM. So if you need something to power your CPAP, you will want something more powerful.

This makes sense. I've heard enough stories of people using M18 batteries for non MKE purposes and killing them...

No coupon for either color. Coupon pulled, unless you have a code.UPDATED: Savings did apply at checkout. Nothing to clip though for me.Seems either for this deal, or maybe for all deals that Amazon changed the way they show coupons. This one has a box that said "Saving $8" in red. There was nothing to click. Reading it as it is written would mean the price reflected the savings, unless I did need to click on it. They were showing it as coupon applied on the product page for clickables before now, AFAIK.
I bought something with a coupon the other day and it had a red button that said get it for whatever the price is with the coupon instead of the coupon amount.

Strange changes, but that sounds better than what this deal showed it as. Bad phrasing on this one.
Why do companies change without researching the consequences from a customer's perception? Run this stuff by a focus group or something. Frown

Now that Amazon, google, etc are basically monopolies they don't have any real competition so they can ruin their services with as much anti consumer changes as they want.
