Damn, bought the G85SD from Samsung on Sunday and it got delivered today and tried to chat with support to get the promo retroactively but they didn't budge and said I would have to ship it back and reorder This is a pretty good deal though

I just ordered the 34" Alienware OLED for $550 - I'm tempted to look at this, but not sure if it's worth the hassle.

Why not reorder and get the promo while using the other monitor then return after?
I used points for the original purchase using their 2x worth promo. Not sure if they would give me back the points or if they will still be worth as much. Overall I got a pretty good deal and don't want to be too greedy haha

The alienware is a bit better, I would keep that one. While the samsung looks prettier, the inputs and UI on the Alienware are better. Same panel on both though.

Looks like it's not e-waste, but it is a $200 monitor.

As a secondary non-gaming monitor, it looks pretty good to me. These are from RTings for both monitors - I don't believe they are the precise models, but very close:

the aw3423dwf (don't get the dw as that one has a gsync module that doesn't let you firmware update the monitor) it was on sale for 550 a bit before this deal went live. I've had that Alienware for over 2 years no issues no burn in.
