Long life Toyota coolant is another scam. The metal in the engine will make coolant electrically conductive over time. This will affect the low level signal output of electronic sensors. Peak all vehicles coolant works great with a 30K change interval. Use distilled water if needed. Be sure to run the heater for a few minutes to remove the old coolant.
The Valvoline Maxlife ATF is another excellent substitute for Toyota's TV and WS fluids. I use Maxlife in all Toyotas since 2004. Again, stick to 30K change interval. If the transmission has accumulated more than 100K without an oil change, then drain and add only one quart of new fluid. Automatic works on fluid friction. A large change in value may cause slippage.

However, I will say in their defense that most people do not DIY, so they are factoring in labor hours in their part decisions (it was not exactly easy to remove the bearing in my situation and install the new one), so it *might* be the case that the average consumer saves money by Toyota selling the whole assembly vs the individual parts and having the tech have to disassemble/reassemble.
Again, I agree with the sentiment personally, since I DIY, but I'm just pointing out why they may have chosen to do it this way.

FYI, when you checkout, you will see the discount and free shipping separated. However, in my case, after I paid the order with PayPal, the discount got bumped up and the free shipping is listed in the order. Effectively the same total amount.

I also used Max life on an unserviced 100k Lexus sealed tranny (since my service advisor said it didn't need any service every time I asked) instead of WS since Max life is synthetic.
