I use these on an internal door that shuts automatically without a doorstop in the way, and I want it left open most of the time.

The best method is to purposefully misalign the two pieces (so the door piece hits the outer crest of the wall part), because if it interfaces directly in the middle, it's actually a bit too strong.

A lot of bad reviews. Apparently the adhesive isn't strong enough.

It does come with screws for a permanent install.

The screws work, the magnets are strong, but the apparatus is ugly as sin.

To the person asking how it works on carpet, you attach it to your baseboard.

I have this or something like this, I just used better adhesive. No real issue if you screw it in though.

I have been using with the screws, and it works perfectly as required to stop the door being banged from the wind

I have bought this in the past and the adhesive sucks. I replaced it with some double stick tape I had and the product itself works well. It does not come with screws but has holes for them. I was installing in tile at my office so I needed a less permanent installation solution.

there are two ways of installing this, one of them is wall mount, so nothing installed on the floor. look at the 3rd pictures on Amazon.

Screws appear to be only for the 1 part which goes on the door.

I have this (different brand but looks the same), used gorilla glue to stick it to the wall. Magnet is way too strong. My 6 year old has difficulty closing the door.

I used to criticize people that screamed shill post...but honestly I'm really starting to wonder about slickdeals.
