Personally, I find all of arcteryx's light and superlight offerings to be largely geared toward specialized activities like mountain climbing, trekking, etc. where weight and compression is an important factor. You wouldn't want to use this, e.g., as a mid-layer for skiing.

I've got 3 of their jackets at deep discount because of the XXL surplus
I think the implication is most active people aren't going to want larger sizes especially since this brand targets active folks.
