I hate that they tie these discounts to premium unlimited. I've had regular unlimited for a couple of years and it works perfectly fine for me and my whole family. This is the reason I've sat out the past two years and just held onto my iPhone 14 Pro.
Get an unlimited line for free for a year with Spectrum home internet and trade in a basic smartphone to get like $700 off an S25...
Then, roll that in to the S25+/Ultra.
I did 3 of those this past year, sold 2 after they unlocked (60 days) for money in my pocket and kept the 3rd as a free device, with free service.

Here are the details.
I logged in and upgraded 2 of my 5 plans to Premium Unlimited. I waited about 20 minutes, logged out and logged back in, and saw that the plan was now active on my account. I proceeded to select the iPhone I wanted, but I still did not see the $1100 trade-in credit.
At this point, the Chat window magically popped up and allowed me to chat with a live person. I took the opportunity!
I had a really helpful rep who was great to work with. He looked at the account and said the following about the Premium Unlimited plan:
"First, we need to upgrade from fourth to fifth gen in order to trade in for a discount."
I think this statement might be key if anyone is having issues seeing the $1100.
After that, I just let him help me upgrade each phone one at a time until we had everything done! (Took about 2 hours, but it's DONE)
Note, they won't credit you for more than the new iPhone costs. We almost bought an iPhone 17 base model, and we would have been wasting the extra trade-in funds (~$300 or so). At the last minute, our rep let us change the order, and we got the Pro model.
So basically, we upgraded a few iPhone 15 base models, got the $1100 trade-in, and got the iPhone 17 Pro models.
The price difference is basically $0 a month and the tax on the price of the iPhone.
We also upgraded some iPhone 15 Pro Max phones to iPhone 17 Pro Max, but we will end up paying a little extra a month for those.
Overall, I'm happy with the deals!

Sonic?
Sonic (home internet) is mostly in the SF Bay Area and Sacramento. They have slowly been expanding and started only in major areas. Their rate is standard and you don't have to negotiate. Their customer service call center is located locally and not off shore like most of Xfinity. Everyone seems to love the customer service. Xfinity and them are the only real two competitors in my neighborhood. I keep seeing more Sonic trucks setting up service for neighbors that have left Xfinity.
My last negotiation with Xfinity gave me a rate $5 lower than Sonic and is what kept me with them for 2 years.
Xfinity uses Xfinity Mobile to try to keep customers on their home internet, which worked on me so far until the last year.
The trick is to get the max discounts, you need to upgrade two of your lines to premium unlimited. I was already on unlimited with both me and my wife;s lines. So first I upgraded to premium unlimited on both my lines. Later I logged out and logged in back. Now my 15pro got $1099 trade in value and 15 showed $830 trade in value, which were upgraded to 17pro and 17. Basically with this upgrade, I am only paying the tax money of phones, and the unlimited premium upgrade charge which is $10 per line per month. This comes around 24X 10X 2 = $480 for two phones. Not bad.
See my post above... had the same thing happen but worked it out.
Now it worked. I followed your procedure. Thank you.

Looks like there is minimal detail on "eligible trade in." It says to check details on Xfinity Mobile but it doesn't appear live there yet. Using iPhone 16 deals, it looks like trading in an iPhone 11 is $500 off and it goes up from there. It's hard to tell though because iPhone 16 says "up to $730 off" but the 17 deal above says "free" which seems to indicate a higher discount with trade in.
Don't be fooled. If you trade in that iPhone for $500, you lose out on the free $400. Is it worth it to you to save an extra $4.16/month more and not have your iPhone anymore? My Galaxy Flip 5 was the same trade in and I'm like, yeah, no thanks, I'll take the $400 and keep my phone.
