As overpriced as this STILL is, I am getting ever the more tempted by this. At the very least this is a 64GB / 2TB SKU. Yes, the crazy deals on the Omen MAX 16's and the Legion 7 Pro's where you can fetch a 5090 spec for ~2300 are still better on raw performance, but this is way more portable and probably has the best speakers on the market..

This or the Open Box - Excellent G14 w/ the 5080 and 32GB memory for $2422.99? I picked up one a little while back and it was practically brand new! I have a Surface I daily drive as my mobile commuter PC/tablet but I'm going on vacation and also away during the holidays this year. So I wanted something that could actually run some games. Doom Eternal, WoW (Which the Surface can handle lol), Red Dead Redemption 2, Helldivers 2, Cyberpunk, etc.

I never once imagine one day we'll pay this price for a window machine, and here we are.

in all seriousness, in the past, the max I'll pay for a windows laptop is at most 2K.
Hardware specs drive up prices whaaaaaat no way

For 128gb LPDDR6, Wifi 7, 20GB VRAM, 4TB, metal body, and OLED it's a good price.

I feel like 5080 is a bit wasted potential on wattage limited machine like this

the deal from this past weekend for the Acer with similar specs (half the ram, half the ssd) and 5070 Ti for about $1100 less seems like a better option, no? asking for a friend who hasn't yet opened the box and may consider swapping. 🙃

In all seriousness, I had read the 5070 Ti was one of the better options for mobile this generation, based on the limitations for the mobile chipsets. So any thoughts would be appreciated.
