Solid deal, especially for the white model (which sometimes runs $15 higher). I bought the 850 two weeks ago from BB for $130 after a price match against Microcenter.

good price if you need a white PSU. However, RMe series has a 7-year warranty

I've bought a few Corsair PSUs for different builds and they are SOLID. I have an older RMe and if it wasn't for the fact that it worked fine, i'd be tempted to upgrade to this new one with the dedicated 12v2x6 connector.

Bought 1000W for $120 + tax from this deal. %159 minus 40 dollar coupon with promo code. Already have white H9 flow case from the Best buy deal last week. This should go well with it. Deals on white PSU's are fewer and these tend to be 10 to 15 more expensive (compared to black PSU's)

If you look up power supply tiers, a lot of Corsairs products get an A tier rating. If you've never seen the PSU tier ratings, it's extremely interesting. Tier ratings can vary wildly between product lines within the same brands, and there are some big names that have a lot of junk and some Alixpress brands that are surprisingly good.

If you're not married to Gigabyte, check out this thread. You can bundle a Ryzen 7 9800X3D for only $400 with any MSI motherboard. They have a white x870e for $299.

This is essentially a budget version of the RM850x in a slightly smaller enclosure (10mm shorter on length/width). They perform very similarly, but there are some quality differences:

The RM850x is manufactured by CWT, which isn't a particularly renowned OEM, but they generally do good work for Corsair, including for the RMx line. The RM850e is made by HEC, who typically uses cheaper components. You're right that the RMx uses Japanese capacitors whereas the RMe uses inferior Taiwanese capacitors, and the smaller form factor on the RMe means the fan is smaller and louder, but probably not offensively so.

If you can get the RM850x at or around the same price, absolutely choose it over the RM850e. It's probably not worth spending more than an extra $15-$20 or so, though. Despite the RMe being more budget-oriented, it's still an excellent performer, and this is a solid deal.

But that's a B850 motherboard, not X870e. And, that MSI board has all connectors on the BACK of the board, which is a definite No.
