I don't know about this item, but I did buy my wife the Shark version of this last year and she loves it. It was $240 for a non refurb and it's much more efficient at drying hair and runs quieter than the hair dryers she's used previously. And the styling functionality is really good. I think Dyson products are quite good, I have a couple of refurbished vacuums that work great, but it is $80 more than I see the Shark equivalent non refurb being sold for on a regular basis and I guess any interested buyer has to determine if it's worth that. If someone were looking at this for $450 I'd really steer them toward the Shark.

This only carries 1 year warranty vs buying from Dyson eBay page which carries 2 year warranty
