Where's the deal? You have to be on the top $ plan and existing customers need to trade in to get a 17 that is still on monthly credit for 2 years.

Be patient. I'm on a legacy plan, Magenta Max over 55. $ 90 month for two phones, plus another $ 5.50 month for each watch with cellular service.

Last February, they had a Presidents' Day promotion. One week promo extended for two additional weeks. Got the same $ 800 trade in for an IPhone 13 as those on the most expensive plan. Would have been $ 1,000 if I had the Pro Max to trade in. No plan change required. My wife got the 16 Pro Max.

If they repeat, I'll trade my 14 Pro Max in for the $ 1,000 trade. Just hoping. Don't snooze.

On a military plan with 6 lines for $196 a month. The cheapest plan to upgrade to that gets upgrades every two years is $216 a month, "experience more"

All things considered if you're upgrading every two years, it's probably worth the extra $480 it would cost us. Still not switching plans.

Not a deal unless you are actively looking to switch and pay a bunch, it requires one of their rip-off plans to do the trade in promos.

I assume that the $216 a month you're talking about does not include taxes and fees like your current plan? At this point I'm either buying a phone outright, or financing directly through Apple, so that I can have an unlocked phone and I'm switching to prepaid at about half the cost. I really liked T-Mobile when I switched a couple of years ago, but the big carriers are all pretty much the same now.

T-Mobile can offer you a swift kick in the nuts and an offer for "wonderful savings" by switching to the SuperUltra5GExperienceBullshit plan that costs $40 a month more than your current plan and gloms back the fees and taxes. Don't miss out! /s

I'm a bit tight on budget right now, so I can't afford the $40 extra per month. I have six lines, and each line costs $25, which is already after taxes and fees.

There is a risk that your trade in phone will be rejected for various reasons. My friend traded four in at a corporate store. They said fine. Later, one was rejected. You don't get the phone back. Other people have been told after the fact that they didn't qualify. Phone gone.

I've never heard of this happening...sounds pretty shady. If this was truly allowed, what's to stop them from doing this to everyone? If they reject my phone or offer a lesser trade-in value than originally quoted, they best be prepared to ship it back to me. Unless, of course, I signed something agreeing to that (which I never would).

T-mobile is infamous with shitty trade-ins. This is my comment from an old T-mobile:"YMMV, but I still have not received the trade-in credits from 5 years ago after spending 50+ hours on the phone with reps, twitter reps, chat reps. Even considered suing them. I figured it just is not worth my time any more but I would not recommend T-mobile to my worst enemy especially if it involves "trade-in".

I have the GoPlus 5G 3 lines for $120 a month and T-Mobile insider discount. Traded two iPhone 12 pros and got $830 credit for both phones towards these. That is a solid deal

Personally, it was perfect for my situation . We've had Verizon forever but haven't found the reception that great around Maine and in Massachusetts. Just migrated our two lines over and added a 3rd for my teenage daughter. Got a 17 pro 512, 17 pro 256, and a 17 for free with 24 months of bill credits and I only traded in my 13 pro. The experience beyond plan gave us the 3rd line free. So for the price I was paying at Verizon for 2 lines, we're getting 3 lines now plus 3 new phones. And We're keeping my wife's 14 pro. We didn't have Netflix before as well.
