QC35's get up to 110 - 120db at max volume. These Sony's are lower capping out around 105d. Prolonged volume levels above 85db can cause hearing damage, over 100 is definitely causing damage. If you still want to be enjoying music as far into life as possible (genetics allowing), I highly recommend you change your listening habits today.

Bought the blue ones last month and they're great! Identical to new as far as I am concerned.

Blue color is really nice, but now that Black is available for $139 (formerly $159) I think I would have gone for those.

For $150 after taxes these are hard to beat.

I am not sure and I am very worried for you. Please get a hearing test. The lion's club do them for free.

Is this my wife's burner account? Her name is Lisa, and I live in MA. LOL

You see... your wife calls it "selective listening" but if you get your ears tested... you can tell her, it is not selective hearing... but if your hearing is OK... then you do have "selective hearing" which is a real issue with many husbands.
But if you are married and have a kid (or want a kid) how dare you spend all your money on headphones. Once you are married... BASEUS for you.

IMO these are better than the 5s, worse than the 6s, but very competitive at this price unless you want the absolute best

Got lucky with the Sam's clearance on these last month (post from SD). Used QC25 and QC35 before. When using the Bose I would always feel a "pressure" on my ears when the noise canceling was on. The NC was good but i always knew it was running, even in a quiet room.

The Sony's don't give me the same feeling when they are on. At first I thought something was wrong with the headphones but after using for a week I like them better. My one complaint is the area inside the ear cup seems smaller than the Bose so if you have big ears, you will feel the foam.
