Are these good or any better than their long list of earbuds?

I agree. I am not an audiophile in the least but I really like the v20i and I like this style now that I have used them and would make the upgrade if it was a noticeable difference.

I really enjoy this style. Don't think I would switch to others at this point.

I got the v20i with the $30 deal and they are really pinching my ear to the point that it hurts pretty badly for a while after taking them off. Maybe these would not have that issue...

V40i has worse battery life than v20i. 6 vs 8. I'm guessing the increased bass drains the battery?

I have the V20i and I had these briefly before returning them. I don't think the additional cost is worth it. These don't sound that much better than the V20i, the default sound profile makes it sound like you're listening to bass boosted FM radio, after changing the sound profile in the Soundcore app it does sound better, but it's only slightly bassier than the V20i. The case of these headsets has no cover, the earbuds are just magnetically held onto the case. So they can still get scratched or fall from the case of it caught on something. It's not worth the extra cost over the V20i.

Your reply convinces me that I don't need to do the upgrade. Thank you.
