According to Keepa this is an all-time-low price on Amazon. 40L is a bit large for an everyday backpack, but the extra capacity could be good for students who still happen to carry textbook, binders, etc. Lots of positive sentiment in the reviews as well. Solid deal for a good backpack!
Are they coming out with a new version that this one is being sold for so cheap? I have one that I paid full price for. My biggest complaint is the front fleece pocket. Whoever designed was drunk as it's upside down. The bulk of the pocket is on top with much smaller storage area on the bottom.

how is the durability and build quality? can you remove the waist belt?
i have to agree with North Face backpacks. I snagged a Borealis for my high schooler a couple years back for $50 and it's still holding up to this day. A bit worn out looks but fully intact and reliable.

Does this one better than Patagonia backpack or the same ?
I'm an Osprey guy, but would probably jump on this if not. My EDC bag is 35L and I carry a 70oz growler (water), 15" laptop and food. 40 might be considered big, but it's nice to have that extra when needed.
