Get the latest drivers. AMD pretty much whitelisted all games that used FSR3.1. Cyberpunk has had FSR4 support for about a month now without the need for optiscaler.

My microcenter has 25+ of these. If you can wait until the super cards come out, these will finally hit msrp and likely lower

The 5070ti does NOT beat this card in every game! HardwareUnboxed has a great video going over a lot of different games, it's not a clean sweep for the 5070ti. Personally got this card for Monster Hunter Wilds & Oblivion Remastered, two games that it has an advantage in.
Downsides are that you don't get the Nvidia suite of software. AMD's software has come a long way but it's still lacking. I updated my drivers about 2 months ago and it installed some random branch of their pro drivers like ??? Had to DDU my way back to the latest ones. FSR 4 fights me every game I want it enabled in like Cyberpunk, you're not able to use it unless you download 3rd party software.
These issues really don't bother me as someone who tinkers for fun, but the average user should look to team green imo.
not sure why you were down voted. i'd buy a 9070 xt any day over the 5070 ti. oh wait, i did.

It's basically the smallest 9070 XT you can get that I'm aware of and is actually a two slot design (not 2.5 or tall 2 slot.)

A general PowerColor and Microcenter comment. I was within the PowerColor warranty period but outside the Microcenter return period. I read the warranty information and thought I should work through Microcenter. I went to Microcenter, and they shut me down pretty hard. I went to PowerColor, and they were very friendly and helpful. Each did as they should. If I had skipped reading the warranty, I would have been better off.

no official date. rumors were Q4 2025 but latest i saw was, again rumor, saying not til 2026.

i suspect this is true, just feels like the market has been just soft enough (that's not to say soft) that nVidia would want to hold off until after the holiday season

CES is January 6-9, I bet they announce then.

Has sale slowed? Is that why prices are going down?

Anywhere between mid October to early next year.

The super cards will have a lot more ram, so these won't cost as much.

If you absolutely need a card right now, this is a decent way to go, but if you don't, new super cards are around the corner and new AMD cards are on the horizon. They are having a hard time moving these now and it's gotten to the point where supply is larger than demand. I would say you'd be in a more favorable spot come black Friday.

For those that don't like to use ANY upscaling tech (DLSS, FSR, etc) the 9070 XT seems to have 48.7 FP32 TFLOPs vs 5080's 56.3 and 5070 Ti's 43.9. This seems to slot between 5070 Ti and 5080 in raw 3D performance.

My 3090 is only 35.6 TFLOPs and I am starting to feel it without upscaling tech. Definitely considering upgrading to something less power hungry with more performance.

The entire economy has slowed. A large portion of the population is having all they can handle with food and housing. Buying toys is way off on the back of their priorities.

I could tell this was coming when the scalpers on marketplace had cards listed that would not move for weeks.

Anyways for this price it's a good deal. I bought the 5070ti because I had 2 cards I bought at the same time. A 9070xt for $780 or a 5070ti for $829. The 5070ti was closer to its starting MSRP of $750. I didn't want to spend almost $200 more than MSRP for the AMD so $80 over for the Nvidia was not as bad.

Now if I had the chance to buy at this price I would have went AMD for sure. Each company make their cards on the same tier level to basically have the same performance. Some games work better with one some better with another. It's all a gimmick. That is why all the extra bells and whistles with the Nvidia give them an edge.

Past that I look to see which runs the coolest and has dual bios. For all the release drama for the RTX 5xxx cards, even the entry level reference cards are OC beasts. If the super cards are not scalped I might upgrade if the OC as well as these do.

TFLOPs is a weird way to measure performance for games. Just go to techpowerup or gamersnexus and look at comparison charts.

TFLOPs is arguably outdated, but it's not "weird" and it was literally the primary indicator of 3D rendering performance for almost two decades until recently.

FLOPs measurements have never been a good fit for games. I get that it's a shorthand number for rough performance, but if you're going to spend $500+ on a GPU you can probably spend 5 minutes looking at some performance charts for the games you want to play

Good deal on a great card ($50 less than I just paid for it). The dimensions on this card make it nice for SFF builds.

Note also that you can get 90% of max performance at 200 watts instead of the full 304 watts.
