You show at any function wearing these pants and people will tell you to take a hike.

They stretch and breathe. I bought some and I like them more than my Mountain Hardware that were 8x as much. Nice athletic fit as well. I already have a couple pairs of black pants, otherwise I'd be all over these.

Sparky says "According to the item page, these pants are designed for hiking and outdoor activities, with features such as stretch fabric, water-resistant fabric, UPF protection, and pockets, making them suitable for hiking and outdoor use.
I checked the reviews and these pants are described as lightweight, flexible, quick-drying, rugged, with features like sturdy zippers and ankle cinches, making them suitable for hiking activities compared to regular pants."
And if Sparky says it you know it's gospel. Heck, for $11/pair get yourself a pair and check them out. You can return them
Or use them as painting pants if you decide you don't like them. 🙂

I don't have these but I have the name brand Orvis pants that they sold at Costco. These look very similar, same zippers and stuch. Anyhow, I use mine for walking my dog. Cool and breaths well during the summer and they don't really stain easily like cotton. Orvis has 1% more spandex at 6% than these pants at 5%. Brands also call these "commuter pants" because the zipper helps decrease the chance of pickpockets while on the train or subway.

I guess the ankle cinches makes them somewhat unique to hiking?

same, I REALLY hate listings like this, where you have to dig and dig and dig to try and find BASIC information.
