That's true. We bake a lot so I bought the 25 lb, so free shipping. I think it's $35 for free shipping.

The U.S. FDA and European food authorities consider PGPR safe for consumption. But what do the Europeans know?

I disagree, it's not the best but it's not garbage.

I, for one. Not everyone can afford Scharffenberger. The average grocery store brand price of semi-sweet chocolate chips is over 30¢ per oz. The 25lb bag price of this Hershey's is half that at 15¢ per oz. The closest I've found is Nestle Tollhouse semi-sweet baking chips at Sam's Club for 22¢ per oz https://www.samsclub.com/ip/Nestl...om=/search I think Hershey's Special Dark is on the same level as Nestle Tollhouse, for example, they have a similar fat/sugar content. I admit I haven't used it in cookies before, but I look forward to it.

Interesting, didn't know that. Still very expensive though.

Uh oh, Hershey's deal is sold out. Whaddayaknow, I guess a lot of people bake with Hershey's chocolate after all.

Who said it's unsafe? It's simply filler so they can add less cocoa in the chocolate. You do you bud, but don't just blame others because you imagine things.

Sorry, I assumed you thought it was bad for you, my bad, but it's "not" used as a filler to use less cocoa. It's used in chocolate in very small amounts to reduce viscosity and help the chocolate flow more easily.
