It doesn't say what type of metal, so it will probably corrode/rust. At the very least its probably indoor paint that won't hold up well outside.

was thinking along similar lines... I just bought a thin polyester material gentent for my generator that cost more than this.. I was thinking of buying this to make a nice frame for a running generator during a storm.

The rungs on the ladders are very narrow. They will hurt your child's feet until they learn to only climb by putting the ball of their foot on the rung. An adult or teenagers using this will weigh enough that any way you climb will make your feet hurt.

My roommate just bought something similar for her daughter last week. It got thrown out immediately. There's no way we're putting a mattress and a child on top of that rickety thing. It's cheap Chinesium. You also need a high ceiling else the top mattress section is maybe like 2 feet from the ceiling. It's taller than a typical bunk bed.

I had this some years back for the guest room in my old apartment to make use of the space. It's fine for this price. I wouldn't want to sleep on it every night but for a college dorm type deal it does the job.

Anyone who wants to use the top bunk for sleeping has probably never lived in a hot climate.

And/or taken a ceiling fan blade to the eye.

Dang, sorry your roommate had that experience. I've been sleeping on the cream-colored variant since May 2020. I love mine, and I've had to deal with lower ceiling clearance since relocating a year later. The last place gave me a few more inches to fully sit up.Can't imagine what I'd do without this bed, it's helped me create extra space. For folks who have never had this bed, it gets squeaky over time, so grease those joints.
