a FHD screen at 2025? 5070Ti can certainly game at least 2k.

That was the issue I had with it when I purchased it. It's not a bad screen per se, but for $2k non-sale price, you'd expect at least 1440p.

I bought this model and used it for a few days before returning it. Not because it was defective or bad, I just found a much better G16 for not that much higher in price.

The screen wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special. The CPU and GPU hit the expected benchmarks as well. Keep in mind this is the 2024 chassis though, not the 2025 one with the better cooling system and fancy touchpad. Also, this is NOT a Nebula screen. It's FHD+

Did you get the 4080 G16? That's what I returned this for.

No, it was the G16 with the 2.5K Nebula screen, the Intel 275HX, and the RTX 5080

How much is "not much higher"? It seems a 5080 G16 would be close to double the price of this Strix...at least $1000 more. I am also considering a G16. Tried the 5070ti G14 but it came with dents along the lid edge, as well as touchpad rattle. Overall, the G16 seems a better proposition than G14. Just hope the G16 doesn't have the same touchpad issues.

I guess "not much" isn't very helpful. I got a G16 with the Intel 275HX and RTX 5080 for about $900 more on Amazon so $2500. It has the better Nebula screen too. I saw they jacked up the price the next day pretty much though so it's like $3500 right now
