Looks like no USB4, out for that alone. I would make sure you get USB4 at the least and possibly Oculink on these mini builds people..

Free m.2 slot opens up oculink possibility, with modding the case for sure.

it depends on what you're going to use it for. I just bought a Firebat A6 from Aliexpress for around $220. it's close to the same specs as this, but this one has double the ram and double the storage. If you want to do modern gaming, yes, you would do better with an external GPU. If you're just playing older games and indie titles you'll be fine with the 680m graphics. My Mini PC currently will just be a batocera machine.

people just love these shitty chinese mini-pcs that come pre-loaded with malware and spyware especially this company which has been caught before.
Precisely.
And a malware in OS is one thing. A malware in the BIOS or in the hardware.. You can do nothing against it. It is going to stay there, and your machine will permanently be infected.

Sorry for my ignorance. But they can load malware inside the Bios or hardware? F$%. I was looking into these for a new Plex server to take the load off my aging NAS.

Can they? most definitely. there was a case some years ago when a MB manufacturer added some chips on the server motherboards.with tpm chips now, all you need to do is to add a trusted certificate I understand. Are they doing it? I have no proof. But I am leery of such a low price. there have to be a reason for it.I am staying away.

Have any valid sources on a "BIOS" malware for AceMagic? Seems like there were definitely some OS-level stuff found, but I haven't found any valid info on BIOS level virus other than people complaining about China "can" do it.

I most certainly not posting this every couple of months, and I am not a troll.
I am sharing my concern.
