It looks like this device is EoL. These are three reasons why I think this:

1. This is running an older version of Terramaster's operating system TOS (5).

2. Terramaster promised an update for this line of devices (ARM based) to TOS 6 (the current version of their NAS operating system) that was supposed to be released in June-ish and it's still in beta with some features (like Docker) missing.
The Beta hasn't been updated in a while.

3. Terramaster released a "newer" budget NAS that is x86 (intel) and their marketing heavily implies that it's meant to replace ARM based NASes.

I've had this device for about a year now and it's been working well as a very basic file server (nothing more) but I would not buy it now knowing that it might stop getting updated pretty soon.

Slap unraid on it (thats what I did with an older silver model) or FreeNAS. TOS is kinda sketchy.

That's very easy to do on an x86 model but not so much on these ARM based devices.

i read the title wrong I thought it said $89. that would be a hell of a deal. $212 for a NAS that is EOL is terrible
