Not sure about this but for Steam Deck I've been using the 8bitdo pro 2 wireless hall effect which has served me well so far. And, right now (as of 9/13), the bundle with that controller + carry case is $39.99 on Amazon. In my experience that's a decent package deal (I've seen it for $44.99 in the past). Typical MSRP is $50 for the controller and $15 for the case if I recall. 8bitdo pro 2 works well on Android and PC also, so for me, having something wireless with that kind of versatility that doesn't break the bank is a solid choice.

I just picked up two of these in white. So far they're great. Build quality is nice, light up rings can be changed to different colors so you know whose controller is whose. Only issue if using on a switch 2 is you have to make sure you update the controller software before trying to pair them or they won't recognize each other.

I ordered 1 and just received it. The front of the black Ultimate 2 box says "Hall". I have the white Ultimate 2 controller from the same Amazon listing, and it says "TMR" on the box. Can anyone else confirm their black Ultimate 2 (bluetooth) says "Hall" on the box front? Testing them out, they feel and look the same, so I'm guessing they're both TMR joysticks and this is just a printing error.

i got the same black ultimate 2 controller and mine is definitely TMS, box says TMS on it. and I can feel the difference from my original ultimate controller

Is your Ultimate 2 is the newer "bluetooth" version? There's a "wireless" and a "bluetooth" Ultimate 2, even though both support bluetooth.
Here are the boxes of my white and black Ultimate 2's. The black box says "Hall" instead of "TMR" on the bottom right.

Loving the versatility, but I'm not sure if I could handle that drastic of a change in form factor-- but I guess it's similar to a PS4 controller? Sorta? Appreciate your recommendation all the same. May still go for it.

I grabbed the ultimate 2C a while back. it is a great controller. the only knock is that an Xbox controller feels more premium to me in button press and heft. I think the joystick is the only thing that seems like an upgrade. I also really like the docking station. overall satisfied with the purchase.
