This is a deals site. Please post about price and not food ingredients. We should all be smart enough to read labels and make good food choices on our own. Speaking of price. Is this a deal?

41% sodium? How's that even possible.

Because salt is listed before every seasoning on the ingredients list except for chili powder. There's even more salt by weight than sugar.

That's 41% of the daily recommended value for half a can.

Still, 1,980mg of Sodium if you eat the whole can is impressive (82% daily recommended).

Not the same product. Sam's just has the regular chili, not the Chunky version here. So you're comparing apples and oranges. This is a good price.

Can't tell if you're joking or not, but that's 41% of recommended daily intake of sodium based on serving size if you're adhering to a 2,000 calorie diet (there's two servings in this can).

For me, that's too much but I prefer making my own chili where I can control the salt and I usually make a spicy chili that offsets the need for so much salt.
