Best price for the 990F with Samsung warranty even if open box. I still think the $695 Epp price for the 990D is a better value. Thanks OP

Yeah, if you have access to the EPP store, the Q990D is the way to go as there really isn't enough difference between the "D" and "F" models to make it worth paying $204 more for the Q990F.

There's a contradiction in the listing. There's a link for the standard 1 year warranty, but then . . .
Open Box: Boxer

The units in this event are being sold as "open box" condition. That means that they have been opened due to being a photo sample, a tested working customer return or having damaged packaging. Some non-essential items may be missing from the box. That is the reason for the reduced sale price and the reduced warranty.

"new" as having full warranty and can be registered. The box might not be sealed or have some cosmetic damage. It is possible to get a new unit that was never plugged in and still in its packaging but the box was teared open.
