You may be remembering the Vostro line which was essentially rebadged Inspiron for the low-to-midrange business segment. Dell merged the Vostro line with Inspiron [dell.com] not too long ago, probably within the last two years.

I got this laptop and all the specifications seem legit. I was hesitant also but came with a 1 year warranty too.

Be mindful that these are often computers that people buy, upgrade some parts then resell them. If the replaced parts should go bad they will not be covered under Dell's warranty.

Don't be fooled by Dell. Inspiron is NOT a business laptop. Vostro, Latitude, and Precision are. Or with new naming scheme, 'Premium' must be in the name.

Inspiron is literally their lowest tier components and quality control.
