High endurance as in the chip itself needs to be the type that supports constant rewrite. Not all chips are made the same way and for dash cams you're more likely to keep writing new data over and over than reading which wears them out significantly faster.

Got it, thanks!
Please recommend high endurance cards

My personal experience is to stay away from high endurance unless they increased their write speeds recently. Too slow. Nothing but issues.

The thing is, it depends, especially with the 2k/4k dual or newer triple cam setups. if you have a viofo, they have a short list of what works and what doesn't. The brand name of the card does not guarantee if the card works with a specific dash can or not. For example, by experience, the Samsung endurance card (v30 rated) is fine for the lower end cams (like the a119), but the updated guide tells you they are not recommended for their 4k cams. What I have seen is that the dashcam manufacturers recommend their own branded card. It is rarely on sale, and definitely more expensive than every other brand out there, but they work. I went through 2 "high endurance" branded cards from SanDisk and Samsung and my dashcam kept resetting itself randomly until I got a Viofo branded card and it has worked perfectly ever since. in hindsight I would have paid the extra 10 bucks and get the manufacturer recommended card and not go through this hassle of memory card lottery.

Need not Samsung. Even their "Endurance" line is not made for continuous recording (just read their warranty statement). Mine failed in six months. Get Sandisk.

Funny thing is to avoid getting a counterfeit, I bought from Samsung instead Amazon and it took almost a month for Samsung to ship. Now I finally got the Samsung shipment, it's now $7 cheaper.
For future time savings, Samsung provides an authenticity checker for their SD cards, so you can verify if you purchased a counterfeit or not. I can't find the standalone download for it anymore, but it should be bundled with Samsung Magician according to its description.

I tried the android version of Samsung Magician and it kept looking for an SSD drive wouldn't see the microsd. I had to use the windows version. it failed to authenticate my 1tb and doesn't outright say it's fake so I can't tell https://imgur.com/a/6sJk2OX

I have another card arriving today will try again
The 1TB Pro plus card arrived today and Samsung Magician reports it as genuine. Not sure what's up with the 1TB EVO card, probably fake.

I did some initial test that mine passed, but h2testw took waaay too long. I hunted a bit and found Fake Flash Test. It failed abysmally. B&H just gave me an RMA when I sent the error messages, but if you got one and haven't tested it, you should.
