I was struggling to find a use case for these things and after reading the Amazon comments at least 2 people mention that these post screws in the 5/8" size are the perfect fix for a (floppy?) Honda visor. Someone else used them to fix those wheels on the slide out cart in his dishwasher (seems like the caustic dishwasher environment caused the "hubs" in all 4 wheels to fall apart).

I had to google to see what the use case was. Looks like these are intended for leatherwork and scrapbook bindings though I'm a little puzzled about how they don't just spin in place as you're tightening the screw since there's nothing to bite into the surface (similar products on Amazon show the posts have a smooth backside so you can't use two screwdrivers to tighten).
Anyway, a quick search on Amazon shows a 100-pack of 3/4" aluminum binding posts for $12 so I'm not sure someone would pay almost $10 for a pack of 10. Is there something special about these?

i think some use these for kydex holsters, sheaths and even knife making. perhaps similar to chicago screws (not sure)
