I bought this like 5 months ago. The cable was faulty and caused unstable data transfer so I switched it and had no problems since

Seems like you'd want the screw clamp head to be wider to spread out the pressure and provide more grip.

I was going to mention this as well. The provided cable is terrible and provides a very loose connection to the hub. I swapped it out as well and so far the hub has been much more reliable. Anyone purchasing should also factor in the cost of a better cable.
