Bought this before, great shirt but buy one size down, it runs large
I did the opposite because these shirts shrink quite a bit. If you're going for a relaxed look, def size up.
Factors affecting shrinkage
Cotton content: The more cotton in the blend, the greater the potential for shrinkage.
Heat and moisture: Heat and moisture are key components for shrinkage to occur in cotton-polyester blends.
Fabric quality: The quality of the fabric can influence how much it shrinks.
Pre-shrunk fabric: If the fabric was not pre-shrunk, it will have a greater tendency to shrink.
How to prevent or minimize shrinkage
Wash in cold or warm water: Avoid hot water when washing cotton-poly blends.
Avoid high heat drying: Use a low heat setting on your dryer and remove items as soon as they are dry, or air dry them by hanging them up or laying them flat on a towel.
Check care labels: Always follow the garment's specific care instructions to prevent shrinkage.
What to expect
Less shrinkage than pure cotton:
Polyester's synthetic fibers provide stability and resist shrinkage, making the blend less prone to shrinking than 100% cotton items.
Slight shrinkage is possible:
Even with care, a cotton-poly blend may still shrink by about 3-5%, especially after the first wash, if exposed to heat and moisture.
Agree. I'm usually a medium all the way but this medium was a bit big. I wish I got a small buts it's fine for $7
