These balls, different brand, have worked well for our family. Drying time is reduced and there may be less static. I also like never needing a dryer sheet. I'm a little surprised some of the commenters are baffled by the idea of this. Didn't your moms put tennis balls in the dryer with large stuff? That's American moming 101 stuff. The idea is that things that are fluffed around will dry faster than those stuck together.

They work just ok. Some things still come out a bit staticky, but overall worth it. Been using for a couple of years now without dryer sheets.

Are these OK for sensitive skin or best to just use nothing?

I'm skeptical, but curious. Can someone explain the principle of how these improve softness or shorten drying time? Or is this more of a confirmation bias/post-purchase rationalization kinda thing?

I bought six of these, exact same brand, on the last deal in large and LOVE them. No more dryer sheets! I even used them for a king sized heavy blanket and it was so soft and dried evenly. Normally I have to open the blanket, separate it, so the inside gets dry. I am a believer and am happy with my purchase.

they should be good as its just wool balls, no other stuff in it

They just hit the clothes and tenderize them. This also separates the clothes, making drying more efficient and reducing the time.

These balls really do keep your load separated, soft, and help you finish faster. worship

I use liquid fabric softener. Do you think that I could use these and not use the liquid softener and have great results? Mostly concerned with my scrubs as they are pretty pricey and I like them to last as long as possible. Thanks!

There is what looks like an identical product on Amazon sold by GE appliances for $5. Seems like an average price to me.
